GMPR MPR CP Iowa Pointing Labs Kodiak is a phenomenal pointing Labrador. He has pointed since 7 weeks of age and made it to GMPR at the age of 24 months. His bloodline includes GMPR MH Raider. Kodiak is unique and to our knowledge the only GMPR having a very dark fox red coat which some customers desire. When Cody is brought to the line during training or hunt tests he is always the dog that receives the most comments because of his handsome looks. He like's to play more then the adverage Labrador as he is a wonderful pet that has a wonderful fun personality. We have a full and half sister to him. They’re showing the same hunting desire and very strong natural point as his sister Iowa Pointing Labs Sandy received her CP title faster then any pointing lab ever trained at K and L kennels. It took only three days of training for Sandy to receive her CP title. That is very impressive in the pointing lab world and shows how much natural point is in that bloodline. Cody and his sister both point birds like a English pointer. That is extremely rare but that trait is what Iowa Pointing Labs is wanting to produce in all their pointing labs. It took Cody to a trainer for two weeks and he put his a CP title on him. Most dogs it takes three months. He didn't even charge us he was so impressed. If you need pointing genetics in your puppies this is the stud dog for you. He has great retrieve drive and marks birds very good. Cody of course is a wonderful pet first as we demand that in all of our bloodlines. STUD AND BREEDING CONTRACT Stud Dog: Iowa Pointing Labs stud: Stud Fee: $1,000 or first pick of the litter. The stud owner reserves the right to first pick of a puppy in lieu of the stud fee. Expenses: Frozen Semen Breeding (One frozen semen shipment per stud fee) A nonrefundable deposit of $400(applied to stud fee) is required to be paid to Iowa Pointing Labs prior to shipping of the semen. All expenses associated with semen retrieval, tank rental, shipping of the semen and return of the tank is the responsibility of the owner of the bitch being bred. Payment for these services is to be made to the storage facility. The frozen semen will be released after the above mentioned expenses have been paid. We are not responsible for frozen semen once it has been released from the storage facility. When using Frozen it is the responsibility of the owner of the bitch to make sure that they are dealing with a competent and experienced veterinarian. The veterinarian selected for frozen semen breeding must have extensive experience in surgical or transcervical A.I. procedures and should have on site storage equipment for the frozen semen. A minimum of three-business days notice is required for securing tank for shipping. Stud fee is required to be paid in full within 10 days following the whelping date unless the stud owner elects to the first choice of a pup from the litter in lieu of the stud fee. A litter consists of two or more puppies. One or less you will receive another natural breeding. It is the responsibility of the owner of the bitch and or veterinarian to keep the stud dog owner informed on the bitch’s general health, progesterone test results, planned collection or shipment date, semen arrival, A.I. date, ultrasounds, x-rays, whelping date, and all health problems or complications of the bitch. It is understood that there is always a risk when transporting and boarding dogs, that injury or illness can occur, that dogs can escape. It is further understood that the owners of the stud dog are not insurers of the bitch and are not liable for her loss, health or injury. All bitches must have proof of: AKC or CKC Registration, OFA hip and elbow registration, and CERF eye registration.
